Our Story
How RPM Started
In January 2004, Cindy and Daniel Johnson, along with a host of churches, businesses, and individuals, began praying about starting the RPM Outreach Ministry. One year later, in January 2005, the Escambia County Board of Education granted permission for RPM to begin its program in the schools the following fall. Classes began for kindergarten through fifth grade in October 2005 at A.C. Moore Elementary, Pollard-McCall Elementary, and W.S. Neal Elementary. In September 2006, the school board granted RPM permission to include 6th-8th classes at Pollard-McCall. At the end of 2006, three schools were participating with over 1,000 students enrolled. The program continued to add schools and children, and by 2019, RPM was serving an average of 1,800 students each month.

Ms. Tippytoe
Her given name may have been Cindy, but to the children of Escambia County she will always be "Ms. Tippytoe."

After a long, hard battle with ALS that ended in 2017, Ms. Tippytoe, with now spends her days face to face in the presence of her Savior. Her legacy and the ministry that was so dear to her heart continue on through the work of RPM Outreach.
In her own words...

"What we suffer in this short life
Can't compare with the prize
Of beholding our Savior's face
With His 'come home child' eyes."
-Cindy Johnson (Ms. Tippytoe)
