Dear Parent of CareGiver
Hello to each and everyone! I'm so very happy to be sending this warm, welcoming letter to you at the beginning of our new school year.
Much has happened since March 2020. As we step into this new year with so many uncertainties, all of us long for some kind of stability. One thing I have learned in 67 years of life is that change is certain. Whatever the change, I am thankful that there is a wonderful, loving God who knows, sees, and cares for all people. We are made in His image and are His masterpieces.
This is the beginning of the sixteenth year that we have so graciously been accepted by Escambia County schools to teach Biblical character classes at the request of parents. Each year you have been given the opportunity to sign your child out of the classroom to join us in our portable classroom off campus. All necessary guidelines will be met, including thoroughly sanitizing everything and practicing social distancing. Because of the circumstances we find ourselves in this year, we are offering an on-line service that will be accessed on our RPM Outreach Ministries on Facebook. Details will be provided at a later time.
Our classes will begin in October and will continue until the end of March. Your child will miss only one P.E. time each month. And, because we know how difficult it may be in giving up that P.E. time, we will make our games and activities entertaining and fun as well as having a serious time of learning. The short valuable time given each month will be a time worth giving. It can give your child hope and confidence. Our classes will be smaller due to the compliance of social distancing.
We look forward to teaching these sessions with a variety of methods such as videos, puppets, music, pictures and the acting out of the Bible stories. There will be a special animal each month to reinforce the good character traits and will hopefully amaze them about God's creation.
Please encourage your child to continue the classes each month, in order to build on a walk through the Bible over a five-year period. This year, we will begin in the Book of Genesis.
As we walk together to fulfill the plan that God has in shaky, unstable times, we volunteers of RPM will walk with an unshakable God. Hebrews 12:28-29, Hebrews 13:5b-6 and Psalms 46.
Praying for you, your family, our Country, and our schools,
Ms. Flippytoe
